A Morning That Slowed Down at the National Museum of Ghana, Accra

Accra is a city that rewards you for stepping out of its noise. Not away from it just sideways, into one of the quieter pockets the city keeps tucked behind all that traffic and energy. The National Museum of Ghana on Barnes Road is exactly that kind of pocket. I’d walked past it the day before without stopping, the way you do when you’re still getting your bearings in a new city, still letting it arrange itself around you. The second morning I went back and went in and the whole tempo of the day shifted the moment I stepped through the doors.
